Marquee, 26 July

New at the market were:

Bayer Farms: turkey and chicken and pork and chicken and rabbit, sausage. You can sign up with them for your holiday Poultry.

Spring Brook Farms: since 1959. Florist and garden flowers. Their retail outlet is the old red barn near Howell and Farmington roads, on Power Rd.

Bakers Rack: Pasties and pies

Ross Farms: Homemade jams and salsa

Hoffman’s Honey from S Rockwood. Fine honey and bees wax candles, they even have beeswax lip balm.

La Sirena: Home based restaurant.

First Cup: coffee shop with a healthy, tasty menu, located on the East side of Inkster south of Five mile. Came with food selections for us to enjoy.

Dunia Sweets: bakery, located on the West side of Inkster North of Five Mils. You can order cakes and trays there for special occasions.

Dimaggios Italian Bakery: located on Six and Beech (order their bake at home pizza. They also make bread and pasteries and have fine olive oil and other items for sale.

There was a booth where you could get Henna Body art.

Big Mama’s Southern kitchen had a booth, located on West side of Telegraph, North of 96, they have take out.

St. Val’s K of C council 14080 had drinks and snacks.

All sisters cookies

Vandalia Farms with their blueberries and vegetables grown with only compost and water added. They have 5 pound boxes of blueberries for freezing.

Vang Family Farms: with their selection of oriental vegetables. They have large amounts of green and yellow snap beans for putting up.

Gaier Farms from Armada, Michigan have a large selection of produce. Find peaches and corn here.

Demeulenaere Farms from Romeo was here again with their very large variety of produce. They have berries and melons.

Cultural coalition was selling their cookbook (The cultural Coalition started after 911. Their mission: sharing cultures to promote understanding)


In other Marquee news: I ran into Betsey Mcree. There is a Marquee Facebook page.

The not to be missed art fair in the City Hall/Police Station parking lot was filled with fine artist booths and a sound stage was set up, there was music all day.

Singer/song writers Dan Kennedy and Joseph Oseph offered some tunes over at the Marquee. My personal opinion is that it is always nice to have tunes.
